These were inspired by my very recent trip back home to Taiwan ♥ We went to Jay Chou’s restaurant in Taipei and it was fabulous! I had been thinking about making a template for the logo for a while now, but never really got around to it. I’m pretty pumped about these!! ♥
I had been working on this set for a while now and I’m really proud of it! It took a long time to do.. cleaning up the images, resizing, then dotting by hand to create the template patterns. ♥
** Images do not fit any sizes of crystals - I shrunk it to prevent “stealing!”**

Made this after the movie came out, lol.. I guess I’m a bit behind these days! The template is available in my little Etsy shop and I can do custom orders as well. :D

Yesterday a friend posted a photo of a homemade golden snitch ornament.. I was inspired. Of course, I’m also really sick at the moment and that inspiration was probably more cold-induced than common sense, haha.. This is the result, but as you see I didn’t think it all the way through. I need to fix the wings. These are just make-shift wings I did out of cardstock and I marked them up with something sharp to give it that streaky feel like one sees in photos of the snitch. I’d probably make the next ones with wire and cover them with something like tissue paper?
I also didn’t check to see if I had the right color crystals, lol.. so I just used the closest color I had. I think crystal golden shadow will make a nice subdued golden hue for this project.. nothing as bright as citrine or topaz probably, but some may like that. ♥ Another lesson?? I would probably not use ss16 crystals as they are really big.. and still there were about 120 of them on here covering all sides. I think ss12 would be a much better size for this and also add more sparkles to it.

Well!! I spent most of this past week trying to learn about letterpress printing as I’ve discovered how really neat it is, but I have not forgotten about my crystal templates. :) This is the latest one I will be working on.. another Jay Chou template! ♥ I’m so excited to make this one too and it is in reference to the movie Secret.
Once I perfect letterpress, I’ll post a picture here!!
A little bit of what I’ve been up to!! Just starting to branch out a little bit from my usual hot fix and flat back crystal creations. ♥ I’m having a lot of fun making these, but I think I made to many in one day because I bruised my thenar eminence using the wire cutters!! I supposed I should really invest in one that is ergonomic for me and not use my fiance’s, lol.
